AEDC commander proclaims April as Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month across the complex
The Sexual Assault Prevention Response office at Arnold Air Force Base, Tenn., has events planned throughout April to bring attention to Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month. Arnold Engineering Development Complex Commander Col. Randel Gordon signed a proclamation April 1, 2024, declaring April as SAAPM at Arnold. Although this is the inaugural SAAPM at Arnold, SAAPM is observed by civilian and military communities across the U.S. each April. It was started more than two decades ago to raise awareness about sexual assault and educate the public on ways to prevent it. (U.S. Air Force graphic by Brooke Brumley)
