Project to restrict Elk River Dam access at Arnold AFB begins soon

Trash is found scattered along a training wall of the Elk River Dam on Arnold Air Force Base, Tenn., January 28, 2025. Work is set to soon begin to prevent public access to the dam structure through the installation of security fencing around the downstream training walls. The effort is to ensure property security and safety in the area. The river will still be accessible to recreationalists for fishing and other activities. (U.S. Air Force photo by Keith Thornburgh)
