From Base to Desert: AEDC Branch Chief Joins Son in 240-Mile Ultramarathon Journey
Mike Dent, AEDC Technical Management Branch Chief at Arnold Air Force Base, Tenn., far right, served as a pacer for his son in the 2025 ultramarathon Moab 240 that took place in Moab, Utah in October. Pacers are critical in ultramarathons, offering morale support, companionship, and safety. Mike’s son Tim was joined by a team pacer that helped along the race.
