Annual prescribed burn season nears at Arnold AFB

A cloud of smoke is visible following a previous prescribed burn operation at Arnold Air Force Base, Tenn. The Arnold AFB Natural Resources team is set to begin prescribed burns later this month and continue throughout March. Prescribed fire allows land managers to alter and improve the native ecosystems without utilizing more costly methods such as mulching, mowing and herbicide applications.
