AEDC at 75: AEDC dedicates lake in honor of Col. Woods
Dorothy Woods, wife of the late Col. Lebbeus Woods, and their son Lebbeus Woods, look at the sign unveiled during the July 1, 1953, ceremony to dedicate the Arnold Engineering Development Center Lake as Woods Reservoir in honor of Col. Woods. Col. Woods, Deputy Chief of Staff of AEDC Materiel, was assigned to AEDC from January 1950 to February 1952. He was one of the first two Air Force officers to come to Tennessee in connection with the AEDC project in the early 1950s. He passed away in May 1953. (U.S. Air Force photo)
