AEDC at 75: AEDC studies academic partnerships

S.S. Penner, professor of jet propulsion at the California Institute of Technology, presents a lecture in 1961 to a group of graduate students at Arnold Engineering Development Center. The lecture was sponsored by Arnold Research Organization Inc., the first company awarded a contract to maintain and operate AEDC, in conjunction with the University of Tennessee graduate school. After being the subject of a study in the early 1950s, a program through which the University of Tennessee would award graduate degrees to engineers at AEDC was approved in mid-1956.
