From Grandfather to Grandson: Intern, Owen Baskin, discovers a document created by his grandfather over 60 years ago
While organizing drawings at the von Kármán Gas Dynamics Facility at Arnold Air Force Base, Baskin came across a drawing that caught his eye. The originator of the drawing was his grandfather, Wayne Morton, who worked for more than four decades at Arnold AFB. To Owen’s surprise, Morton completed the drawing as an intern at the base around the same age as Baskin is now. Baskin stated finding the picture was meaningful, as he was close to his grandfather, who had passed just a month before he started his internship. (U.S. Air Force Photo by Keith Thornburgh)
