Arnold is represented at annual Air Force Association conference

The Air Force Association (AFA) held its annual business meeting fol¬lowed by the Air & Space Conference and technology Exposition in Wash¬ington, D.C., Sept. 13-17.

Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) was represented at the con-ference in a joint exhibit with the Flight Test Center at Edwards Air Force Base (AFB), Calif., and the Air Armament Center's 46th Test Wing at Eglin AFB, Fla.

On Sunday morning, a memorial service, attended by the AFA delegates and Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Norton Schwartz was held at the Air Force Memorial with AFA Chaplain Don Harlan (retired Air Force Chief of Chaplains) delivering the homily, followed by a wreath laying honoring fallen Airmen .

Joe Sutter from Knoxville was elected Chairman of the Board of AFA replacing Bob Largent from Arkan¬sas, who completed two years as AFA chairman.
During his tenure as AFA President, then chairman of the board, Largent visited AEDC twice.

The conference included seminars and forums and a Congressional recep¬tion.
