Inspectors from Holloman Air Force Base, N.M. came to Arnold to help prepare the center's Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) for an upcoming Air Force Metrology and Calibration (AFMETCAL) inspection scheduled for the end of October.

"Senior Master Sgt. Martin Fox and Master Sgt. Clinton Brawley were very impressed with PMEL itself, the techni¬cians and the supervision," Tech. Sgt. Jamie Johnson, Non-Commissioned Officer-in-Charge of PMEL said. "They stated that we have an 'outstanding Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) laboratory.' They also stated that the leadership was outstanding and dedicated to exceeding the requirements of the AFMETCAL program."

Technical Sgt. Johnson said this was a very successful inspection and he thinks it will greatly benefit PMEL and Arnold Engineering Development Center alike.
"This sort of inspection being con¬ducted by another Air Force PMEL was visionary and only makes those involved stronger in the metrology world."
