Estill Springs native Bobby Morris receives ATA award Published Dec. 22, 2008 By 208131 Arnold Air Force Base, Tenn. -- Estill Springs native Bobby Morris, an Aerospace Testing Alliance (ATA) lead heavy equipment mechanic for Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC), was recognized as a craft employee of the quarter. Morris was recognized for leadership and initiative to drive improved performance in the management and maintenance of the AEDC special purpose fleet. He assumed ownership and responsibility for ensuring the productivity of the heavy equipment shop. He partakes in weekly reviews of the in-process maintenance and repairs and helps identify shop schedules and priorities as well as resolving schedule conflicts. He also helped identify and resolve numerous safety issues and led a dramatic improvement in the housekeeping and organization of the shop area. These improvements were recently recognized by leadership as "the most improved industrial area on the base." Morris has worked at AEDC for more than 22 years.
