Tullahoma resident Alan Horrocks receives ATA award

Release Number: 208129

Tullahoma resident Alan Horrocks, an Aerospace Testing Alliance (ATA) J-2 Test Facility lead test operations engineer for Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC), was recognized as the overall department employee of the quarter.

Horrocks was recognized for his efforts in leading the mechanical efforts to successfully complete AEDC's first F136 Joint Strike Fighter engine test.

He provided solid technical leadership to the J-2 test crew and other engineers in getting all of the cell maintenance and reconfiguration work done as quickly as possible in order to maximize test time for the test customer.

Horrocks led the crew in handling an impressive compressed installation schedule that still maintained the originally scheduled first test date.

He provided excellent leadership to the J-side crew as they dealt with a lot of adversity and schedule pressures.

Horrocks has worked at AEDC for 11 years.
