Rockvale, Tenn., native Larry Leathers receives ATA award Published Dec. 22, 2008 By 208118 Arnold Air Force Base, Tenn. -- Rockvale, Tenn., native Larry Leathers, an Aerospace Testing Alliance (ATA) technical specialist and issuing official for Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC), was recognized as a department employee of the quarter. Leathers' was recognized for coordinating the lockout/tagout requirements for the C Plant portion of the Engine Test Facility summer turnaround effort. Because he felt the existing lockout/tag out procedures were not adequate for this effort worked with all of the projection managers, maintenance operations control center, system engineers, operation engineers and craft supervisors to ensure equipment was secured correctly prior to the beginning of the downtime. He did not leave anything to chance and followed through the maze of coordination until all was completed to his satisfaction. Leathers' has worked at AEDC for 24 years.
