Tullahoma resident Kim Haugen, an Aerospace Testing Alliance (ATA) lead at Pass & Registration for Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC), was recognized as a department employee of the quarter.

Haugen was recognized for her efforts to improve operations to ensure a more secure atmosphere for the base and a more professional image for visitors.

With the closure of the main gate, she recognized a need for improved badges for visitors.

Visitor badges were revamped so each has a name, photo and expiration date.

The new badge increases security by allowing the visitor to use any open gate and allows them to depart and reenter until the badge expires.

She also oversaw the upgrade of the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System/real time automated personnel identification system designed to reduce customer wait time and improve quality of service.

Haugen has worked at AEDC for nine-and-a-half years.
