Tullahoma native Dottye Davis receives ATA award

Tullahoma native Dottye Davis, an Aerospace Testing Alliance (ATA) laborer for Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC), was recognized as the overall craft employee of the quarter. was recognized for her performance and contributions in the Von Kármán Facility (VKF) Plant.

She was set up as a temporary working foreman in the VKF Plant following the retirement of the plant supervisor and was instrumental in maintaining productivity of the VKF crew.

Among her responsibilities were to make operations and maintenance work assignments, issue plant operations work instructions, coaching a replacement laborer in the area and handling the primary responsibility of issuing Master Work Permits for the VKF plant area. She was conscientious in these assignments and her management received numerous compliments about her work ethic, attitude and ability to get jobs done.

Davis has worked at AEDC for more than 12 years.
