Tinker Frontlines: Meet Ryan Floyd

Ryan Floyd, an F108 jet engine mechanic in the 76th Propulsion Maintenance Group, has been part of the Air Force family for two-and-a-half years.

The Blanchard, Oklahoma, native enjoys hunting and fishing.

Floyd is a newer mechanic who is fully certified in the F108 Disassembly and Assembly Shop in Bldg. 9001.  His attention to detail has caught and prevented multiple instances of possible rework and often catches even the smallest of details on WCD errors and discrepancies. Floyd’s leadership describes him as “a natural leader who proactively seeks out ways to improve work processes.”

Floyd said there’s not much he doesn’t like about his job, but if he has to choose his favorite part it would be “the environment and the people that I work with.”
