Editor’s note: The Team AEDC Frontlines series is a recurring feature that puts the spotlight on some of the members of Team AEDC on the “frontlines” supporting our mission, people and families during the COVID-19 crisis.

Charles Marvin Greeson is a firefighter with Arnold Air Force Base Fire and Emergency Services. Greeson, who has been with Arnold FES for more than 11 years, is also responsible for ordering the cleaning supplies used by the base fire department.

Greeson is among the members of Team AEDC who have continued to work on base throughout the Operationally Urgent posture and the Return to Full Capacity Phase 1 and 2 now in place as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the Operationally Urgent posture took effect in early April, Greeson has not only carried out his regular duties but has also assisted other FES personnel sanitizing the fire station twice daily. Firefighters must also undergo temperature checks when they arrive for their shift and every 12 hours thereafter.

“Under our current posture, we are keeping all of the fire and EMS personnel healthy and ready to respond to help our community and base employees. I truly am thankful for our leadership here at the fire department and all they have done to keep us healthy. Our base commander has done great in protecting the employees and keeping us informed of the COVID-19 situation. I am truly grateful to be a part of this team here at AEDC.”

Marvin, thank you for all you do for Team AEDC!
