The Arnold Engineering Development Complex Health Services team at Arnold Air Force Base will host the annual Health Benefits Fair on April 23.

The fair is from 9-11:30 a.m. at the Arnold AFB Main Auditorium. Arnold AFB is the headquarters of AEDC.

“We do this every year to provide information on different benefits because we are so different than any other base, and I think a lot of people don’t know what benefits we have and/or how to get them or how to access them because they look so different,” said Arnold Engineering Development Complex Health Services Lead Tiffany Campbell. “We’re trying to bring information to one place for people.”

A myriad of topics will be covered during the event, including Veterans Affairs benefits, disability claims, military retirement and patient travel.

“The purpose is to share the benefits and the resources that are available to Team AEDC,” Campbell said.

The fair is open to all Arnold Air Force Base military, Department of War civilian and contractor personnel, as well as military retirees. Campbell said managers may attend to relay the information provided during the fair to their teams.

“You can be going as a supervisor to get information as a leader,” she said.

Contractor employees are invited to participate/attend in accordance with company policy and supervisor approval.

Although the event is open to anyone, please be advised base access is required. Sponsorship for base access will not be available through Health Services for this event.

Attendees will have the opportunity to receive information and ask questions during the event.

Dr. Bridget Brozyna, Interim Deputy Executive Director of the Veterans Affairs Tennessee Valley Healthcare System, will be present to discuss future plans to expand the VA Clinic in Tullahoma, as well as VA eligibility, services and enrollment.

A VA Veteran Services Officer will also be on hand to provide a briefing on the VA disability claims process.

Military personnel will provide information on military retirement benefits.

“This is an opportunity for military, civilians and retirees to see what kind of services our Survivor Benefits/Retiree Affairs Office can provide both during service and into retirement,” said AEDC Military Personnel Chief Kim Heng.

The AEDC Health Services Administration team will present a briefing on patient travel benefits for active duty service members.

“Oftentimes, they do have to travel to Eglin Air Force Base in Florida or to other places for their care,” Campbell said.

While Arnold Air Force Base does not currently have a dedicated chaplain, the chaplain team from Eglin visits the base and are available to Arnold personnel. Members of this team will be present during the benefits fair to discuss the services the chaplain team provides.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn more about the Employee Assistance Program, such as eligibility, services offered and available resources. The EAP offers comprehensive support services for civilian employees to help in managing personal and work-related challenges, an article published by Air Force Materiel Command in 2025 states. The program, accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week, includes access to confidential counseling, work-life resources, and crisis assistance that can enhance individual well-being and job performance.

“The great thing about the civilian EAP is it covers anybody in your house,” Campbell said. “If you have a roommate or you live at home with your parents, your parents are covered, so it’s anybody in your household.”

Representatives with United Concordia, which administers the Active Duty Dental Program, will present on dental insurance and coverage during the fair.

Groups presenting during the fair will also have tables set up for attendees to obtain additional information and ask questions following the event.

“Asking about eligibility can be a sensitive topic for some, so representatives will be available so they can have one-on-one conversations afterward,” Campbell said.
