ARNOLD AIR FORCE BASE, Tenn. -- The Elk River Dam fishing area reopened for public access on May 14.
Visitors may again fish below the dam. This area may be accessed from the parking area on Elk River Dam Road off Morris Ferry Bridge Road.
Access had been restricted since April 3 due to excessive trash being discarded in the area.
Arnold Air Force Base Security Forces wishes to reiterate that walking on the dam is specifically prohibited.
