An A-26 Invader, minus the propellers, is set for testing in the 40- by 80-foot wind tunnel at the NASA Ames Research Center at Moffett Field, California, in 1945. The 80th anniversary of the first operation of the tunnel occurred in June. The A-26 was tested in the 40x80 in the mid-1940s. The 40x80, along with the 80- by 120-foot wind tunnel at the Ames Research Center, are managed by Arnold Engineering Development Complex.
