A search and recovery (SAR) survey an area near Arnold Engineering Development Center’s airfield, the simulated crash site of a C-130 Hercules that had been flying a training mission over Arnold when the aircraft experienced an in-flight emergency and engine fire. Commander wishes local team good luck

Arnold Engineering Development Center Commander Col. Michael Panarisi signs a baseball for the Tullahoma National Little League for a good luck charm in the team’s next adventure. The team of 12-year-old boys recently won the state championship in Greeneville, Tenn., and are now on to the Southeast Regional Tournament in Ceredo-Kenova, W.V. The team will be competing against Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia teams all in hopes to go to the Little League World Series, which will be broadcast on ESPN.
